Be still already!

Hmm…I’ve sat here for about 20 minutes trying to figure out what to say tonight and honestly, nothing has come to mind. This isn’t the first time I’ve ran into the proverbial ‘wall’ trying to think of something relevant to say about Amy’s day or relating a piece of inspired thought God has blessed me with. At those times, I find that if I just start writing, something usually comes to mind…but not tonight. The only thing that comes to mind is the verse from Psalms 46:10 - Be still and know that I am God. So, with that in mind, I think I will go and do just that.
Oh, and before I go, I would like you to think on that verse if you would and then please tell me what it means to you?

This is Amy's story as seen and told by me – V

Comments:
This brings to mind one of my favorite verses - Philippians 4:6-7. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

MUCH easier said than done - but a very comforting and sobering reality to think that our Almighty Creator with the entire universe in His hands would love nothing more than to be at the center of all we are and do.

Throughout Amy's "momentary trouble", you have both demonstrated to all of us what it means to "present your requests to God", and to "be still, and know that I am God". Despite the current challenges, the evidence of your actions is crystal clear. To Him - and ONLY Him - be the glory!

Continuing to pray for His will to be done,
Dave

Dearest Vince+Amy,
THANKS !.....once again, the Lord has blessed me
through your blog. The boys didn't have school on Fri. / we've been hustling/bustling since.
What a fabulous time to be reminded...."to be still/know God!!!" ;)
Do you remember that wonderful old hymn song, "He's the Shadow in a Weary Land ?"(based on Is.32:2) Reminding us that one of God's names is "THE SHADOW of a Great Rock in a weary Land" His presence restores our parched souls!!!
THANKS again....oh how our parched souls need to "Be Still/Know God!!"
